Hey you guys! There’s just one more day ‘til some of us get
to enjoy a three-day weekend! Lots of fun activities are ahead – hanging out
with the family and friends, enjoying some ice cold beers and watching the
fireworks from the distance. This coming Fourth of July will mark what I like
to call the “2nd Annual Giants Fest.” Our friends Brandon and
Heather are super nice (and super tall, thus the term giants) to host a party
at their house and I am lucky to be on the VIP list (or so I like to think).
Last year the party didn’t really have a theme; it was just a fun house party
with lots of friends and tons of beer – we had to do a beer run early in the
afternoon bc we were thirsty! However, this year’s party has a theme. Wait for
it, wait for it… “Texas Trash” or what I like to describe as “Texas Trailer
Park Trash,” maybe?? Don’t ask me what that means because I am not from Texas, but
I did get here as fast as I could. My attempt at this “Texas Trash” costume
involves a pair of True Religion denim cutoffs that I found at the Salvation
Army, a Walmart tank-top, white bikini top, and my Nike Dunk Sky Hi wedge
sneakers. Let’s not forget the accessories and my mason jar mug. Boom!
Anyway, just want to wish everyone a safe and happy Fourth
of July, but most importantly, I’d like to give thanks to those who made our
freedom possible – you are my heroes! ‘Murica!!
